Technical Guidance: Mojave Desert Tortoise Conservation and Recovery Measures Along Roads

This report focuses on documenting the experiences and knowledge of practitioners, researchers, and managers with the funding, planning, design, implementation, and investigation of the effectiveness of measures taken to avoid, mitigate or compensate for the effects of roads and traffic on the federally threatened Mojave desert tortoise. This report was prepared under the guidance of the Mojave Desert Tortoise Transportation Ecology Task Force with support from CLLC, the Western Transportation Institute, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
