Rebecca Boslough King
U.S. Program Policy Specialist
At the Center, Rebecca focuses on developing policies and best practices for landscape-scale conservation, fostering high-level collaboration, and guiding and providing expertise on a variety of scales—local, county, state, tribal, and national—related to landscape-scale conservation.
Rebecca has a diverse background in conservation science, policy, and capacity building. Her experience includes conducting environmental research across four continents through her graduate studies and international fellowships; working on environmental policy and programming from the local to international levels, including positions at the US Forest Service and the UN Environment Programme-WCMC; facilitating environmental education and advocacy; and coordinating projects focused on strengthening the capacity of local conservation initiatives.
Prior to joining the Center, Rebecca served as the Executive Director for the Montana Association of Conservation Districts (MACD), where she worked closely with ranchers, farmers, and communities on local conservation and agriculture issues across the state. At MACD, Rebecca built bipartisan coalitions and successfully advocated for the passage of key conservation policies, including the creation of a $100-million conservation district trust. Rebecca is a British Marshall Scholar, a national Harry S. Truman Scholar, and recipient of the Congress Bundestag Fellowship in Germany.
In her free time, Rebecca can be found making pottery, reading, or outside camping, skiing, and hiking with her husband and pup.
