Jamie Faselt

Conservation Science Specialist

As the Conservation Science Specialist, Jamie provides technical and logistical support to spatial and social science projects for the Center and partners. She also helps produce educational and outreach materials with a focus on connectivity science.
 
Jamie has experience in connectivity modeling and ecological research, as well as social science approaches. For her master’s work at Boise State University, her research focused on understanding social, political, and biophysical barriers to long-term connectivity for reintroduced Plains bison. Jamie is committed to engaging with local communities, rightsholders, and stakeholders in her work. She has worked with Indigenous communities both in Montana and internationally in Assam, India, and Borneo, Malaysia.
 
In her free time, Jamie enjoys snowboarding, hiking, reading, mountain biking, and petting dogs.
