Wildlife Crossings with Author Ben Goldfarb

The Center for Large Landscape Conservation presents a Western Montana book tour

The Center for Large Landscape Conservation is proud to present Bridging the Future: Wildlife Crossings with author Ben Goldfarb.

This tour of bookstores and other local venues will feature readings by Ben from his most recent book CROSSINGS, a scientific and literary feat, highlighting the impact of the 40 million miles of roadways that encircle our planet. For wildlife and ecosystems, roads are forces of disruption and at times causes of death.

Please join us for an event near you to learn about the issue and how emerging science can reduce and potentially reverse the damage caused. The readings will be followed by Q&As with Ben and experts in conservation and wildlife crossings from the Center and local partners.

From the publisher:

From remote Tasmania to the interstate bisecting Syracuse, New York, Goldfarb reports from the frontlines of an ecological and cultural revolution, one that views roads as potential visitors, not conquerors… A sweeping, spirited, and timely investigation into how humans have altered the natural world, CROSSINGS shows us how to create a better future for all living beings.”
