Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative

The Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative (Y2Y) is a joint Canada-US organization that seeks to preserve and maintain the wildlife, native plants, wilderness and natural processes of the mountainous region from Yellowstone National Park to the Yukon Territory. Y2Y seeks to connect and protect habitat from within this region so people and nature can thrive. CLLC’s Executive Director, Gary Tabor, was a founding member of Y2Y and is still working closely with Y2Y to create a regional practitioners’ network to advance climate adaptation. This network also overlaps with the Roundtable on the Crown of the Continent and the Great Northern Landscape Conservation Cooperative. CLLC hosts monthly Climate Adaptation Webinars and a bi-monthly newsletter for over 85 members of the combined regional practitioners’ network.  The following map highlights the Yellowstone to Yukon region of North America (courtesy of the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative.)
